### What this site stores

Cookies are small values stored by your browser and sent with relevant requests. Local storage stays in your browser. The items below support a feature you request, security, or your privacy acknowledgement. We do not ask for an advertising opt-in when there is no optional tracking to enable.

| Name / type | Purpose | Lifetime |
| --- | --- | --- |
| reception_session Cookie | Keep an authenticated user signed in. Set on sign-in. | 7 days; cleared on logout. |
| reception_passkey_register reception_passkey_login Cookies | Protect a passkey setup or sign-in attempt that you initiate. | 5 minutes; cleared when consumed. |
| reception_google_oauth Cookie | Protect a Google sign-in or account-linking attempt, if that option is available and selected. | 5 minutes; cleared when consumed. |
| reception_demo_browser Cookie | Enforce the public demo’s five-minute monthly allowance and prevent overlapping free calls. Set when the sample checks its allowance. Used with an IP-derived keyed hash. | Up to 35 days in the current version. Older cookies may retain their original expiry until replaced or cleared. |
| receptionistic.privacy-preferences Local storage | Remember that you acknowledged essential-only storage, with the version and expiry time. | 180 days; removed on the next read after expiry, or when you choose to forget it. |

Authentication and demo cookies are first-party, HttpOnly, SameSite=Lax, and Secure on the production HTTPS site. Authentication challenges are scoped to the sign-in API; the session and demo cookies apply across the site. Infrastructure security controls may change independently; we will update this inventory when we enable additional browser storage.

### Manage your choices

You can review or forget the essential-only acknowledgement at any time. Forgetting it does not log you out, clear your demo allowance, or turn on tracking. Your browser can block or delete cookies and local storage; blocking necessary cookies may prevent sign-in, passkeys, or the free demo from working.

Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track are recognised by our settings. Optional tracking is disabled regardless of those signals. If optional tracking is introduced later, it must remain off until any required consent is obtained, with an equally accessible way to refuse and withdraw that consent.
